Eva Zeisel, a true force of beauty and life has passed away at the age of 105.  

The stars aligned and provided me with two minutes of her time while I escorted her into a book signing about 6 years ago.  She truly made me fall in love with pottery and more importantly with the idea that living passionately is crucial to life.  

When I asked her why she loved creating pottery all of these years she replied simply, “beauty needs to breathe.”
